A friendly GWR style branch line providing a tourist attraction for both families and enthusists alike.
The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway is a three and half mile branch line that runs from Chinnor to Thame Junction, just half mile from Princes Risborough.
The line runs along the foot of the Chiltern Hills, parallel to the Icknield Way, passing through the attractive countryside with some outstanding views across the Vale of Whiteleaf.
The railway runs both steam and diesel locomotives, details which can be found in the stock list. Visiting locomotives appear each year, information on this can be found in the timetable or in the railway press.
The railway also holds special events and Thomas the Tank Engine Weekends.
The railway is open from Easter to end of October and in December for Santa Specials, Mince Pie Specials and New Year Specials in January.
The service is run by the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway Company.
