SCARF:  Chain 20.
Row 1: 1 dc in the 4th Ch, 1 dc in each remaining Ch.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in the 2nd dc, 1 dc in each remaining dc, 1 dc in the top of the turning Ch.
Repeat Row 2 for the pattern. Work even in pattern until the piece measures 60 inches. End off.
Fringe: Holding 2 pieces of Ombre, and 1 piece of Solid together, wrap yarn around a 4 inch cardboard. Cut 1 side. With the 3 pieces of yarn, work a slip knot in each stitch on the top and the bottom of the scarf.

Gauge: 5 sc = 2 inches
Ch 4, join with a slip stitch to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 1, 12 sc in the ring.
Round 2: 2 sc in each sc around (24 sc).
Round 3: 2 sc in each sc around (48 sc).
Round 4: * 2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc in the next sc, repeat from the * around (72 sc).
Rounds 5-16: Work even in sc around, without increasing.
Decrease Round 17:  * Skip the next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 1 1 sc, repeat from the * 5 times (66 sc).
Round 18: Work even in sc.
Decrease Round 19: 1 sc in each of the next 5 sc, * skip the next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 10 sc. repeat from the * 4 times, skip the next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sc (60 sc).
Round 20: Work even in sc.
Decrease Round 21: * Skip the next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 9 sc, repeat from the * 5 times (54 sc).
Rounds 21 & 22: Work even in sc.

Top Piece of the Brim: Row 1: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each of the next 25 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, skip the first sc, 1 sc in each sc across to the last sc, do not work in the last sc.
Rows 3-8: Repeat Row 2. There will be 1 1 sc.
Bottom Piece of the Brim: Row 9: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each sc across.
Row 10: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in the first sc, 1 sc in each sc across to the last sc, 2 sc in the last sc.
Rows 11-16: Repeat Row 10. There will be 25 sc. End off.

Fold the bottom of the brim down under the top of the brim. Attach yarn to the top right side of the brim. Working through the 2 sides of the brim, sc across the right side, across the front folded piece (working through the top loop of Row 8) and across the left side. End off.

Finishing: Cut a piece of heavy cardboard into the same shape as the brim. Insert the cardboard between the top and the bottom of the brim. Sew the bottom section of the brim to the last round of sc.
