Sanctuary Records announces the signing of Gravity Kills to the label

Gravity Kills, digital rock specialists are on tour this November/December
with Pigface and Godhead as they gear-up for the world-wide release of
their
third studio album and debut for Sanctuary Records 'Superstarved' in early
2002.

Bridging the gap between electronica and primal hard rock, the track
“Goodbye” was prominently spotlighted on the platinum plus-selling
soundtrack to the hit film Mortal Kombat. Then, the band exploded at Modern

Rock with the Top 10 single “Guilty” catapulting the band’s debut album
quickly to Gold status.

The band (currently consisting of Scheel, keyboardist Doug Firley, and
guitarist Matt Dudenhoeffer) is currently finishing up work on their new
album and their first for new label, Sanctuary. At the production helm is
none other than industrial rock guru Martin Atkins (Pigface, Ministry,
Murder
Inc., Damage Manual, etc.)

When asked what fans can expect from the new album, due in early 2002,
vocalist/guitarist Jeff Scheel says their sound has become "more
riff-oriented," and "grindier." Scheel explains, "Sanctuary stepped up.
They
loved the demos, came to see us live and were really interested in working
with us. Our next album's harder, but pop music generally has become
harder.
In the Gravity Kills test-tube, it sounds harder. But outside of that world,

it's not harder than what people are hearing on the radio."

Manager Gloria Butler states, "Aligning ourselves with Sanctuary will give
Gravity Kills new opportunities and avenues for their music to be heard on a

global basis. We’re very excited about our relationship moving to the next
level as we begin to set up the release."
