Post MY01 Impreza 2.5 WRX STi TypeR 22B P1 Version VII

Confirmed! The Impreza 2.5 WRX STi TypeR 22B P1 Version VII will be coming to the States for 2001! My grandmother's sister's husband's great grandaughter's cousin's best friend's mother's brother's dog just heard it from the mailman's sister's boyfriend! It'll have 480 HP and will only cost $9,995!

It'll come with 18" rims and a full STi package! And for an extra $995, you get a trained monkey that lives in the trunk that'll automate weight transfer! Stickers cost extra, but Subaru has implemented all the modifications from this board. The monkey can even be trained to repaint your badge a different color every night!

Uhm...this might just be a rumor, but I'll call to confirm with my dealer later today!

Fear the Trunkmonkey. There is no cone.

I want my monkey to be like the helper monkey from the Simpsons, and just sit and drink beer in my trunk.

As far as aftermarket monkeys are concerned, I don't see why they wouldn't work with earlier cars. You may have to doublecheck the trunk to make sure you can install the seat belt for the monkey (might cost extra). Just watch out, though. Aftermarket monkeys might void your warranty. However, if you can get an STi Turbo Monkey from your dealer, it should be covered.

Also, you can only get the beer monkey if you also plop down the $120 for the Outback powered cooler. Especially if you get the STi Turbo Monkey. They're pretty picky and they want their beer cold.

Sadly,...

Latest governmental regulations as of January 15, 2000, require that said monkey be restricted to a USHTSA-approved childseat.

Do you know if it's possible to get clear corner braces for the child seat? If we're going aftermarket, we don't want it to look like we're a "family" car.

Can you attach a speakers or a sub to the monkey's child seat. If they are going to be clear can neon be installed to give it a modern look.
I also hear that the drinking model of the STI monkey only drinks imported lagers.

Lets try and get a GROUP BUY on the Monkey. I think if we get 12 of us... The Monkey is practically free...

I heard that he comes with a STI T-Shirt, and will also help carry in groceries... or anything else you have in the trunk.

Does anyone know if I can get an airbag installed for the Rear Monkey Seat? or if you have instructions on how to do it yourself, please post!

Cool

I tried calling my dealer, but the number was busy. So, I just got off the phone with MOS (Monkey Oxide Systems) and they said that we'd get best performance with import lager or ale. In a pinch we can use Bud mixed with grain, but that might cause trunk knock.

I heard that the Minnam Monkey has a bald patch on it's head to act as a heat exchanger for better performance. Also, it is rumoured to have a stanless steal colon-back exhaust system for better flow through.

Man, you monkey boys...

PETA has found out about your antics and they have officially petitioned SOA to stop the release of any new Subarus until a check can be performed to make sure that the well being of the monkey and any other animal that you might be abusing is fully ensured...

And you wonder why SOA doesn't take us seriously...

I was told buy a reliable source that JC Sports had a twin adrenaline monkey set up but, due to their delivery reputation they kept dieing before they reached the customers.

Yes, I purchased a JC Sports monkey and it arrived without hands or feet (mounting hardware), also no instructions on monkey care were given. All that my monkey could do was just lay in my garage.

What kind of reliability can we expect from the monkey modification? I hear that there is a problem with the MAS.(Monkey Air Sensor) and the monkeys would pass out due to lack of air circulation

I heard that the aftermarket super monkeys were experiencing starvation problems. They would get all skinny and fart pre-maturely.
