Conference
Schedules
for
Linguists, Translators, Interpreters and Teachers of Languages.

The
conference list is a free service of Roy's
Resources.
Because of other committments, no conferences for December 2001 or January
2002 ever made it to the list. It is my intention to add conferences
to the list on a day-by-day basis.
Send additions for the list to me at roy@royfc.com.

Search
for a Conference
The
and symbols are no
longer used for individual conferences in order to make updating the
list easier. The present goal is to add conferences as information
is received by the following morning. The symbols will be used
if necessary on other sections of the list.
(Clicking on
the applicable link will provide additional conference information).
If you find
any entries that seem odd or run together, please let
me know.
The URL for
this page is http://www.royfc.com/confer.html.
The old URL
at http://www.clark.net/pub/royfc/confer.html has not been used for nearly
3 years.
For maintenance
convenience and faster loading, this list is divided into several pages.
They are:
confer.html
The conference list home page.
confer2.html
for conferences in 2002 and beyond.
confer3.html
for conferences in 2003 and beyond.
conf_pub.html
for miscellaneously scheduled conferences and other links for linguists.(Requires
update)
confer_x.html
for past conference schedules.
con_links.html
for useful conference-related links. (Requires update)
Searching
for Conferences
To search for
individual conferences, use the blank above and hit "Enter." You
may search by location (city, state, province, country, etc.), a single
word, or multiple words in the conference title. Putting a
phrase in quotes searches for that phrase only.
HINTS:
If you search for more than one word, both words must appear in the result.
For example, a search for "New York" (without quotes) could give either
conferences located in New York or conferences in York (England or Pennsylvania)
that
have the word "New" in the conference title. "New York" (with quotes)
will give only conferences located in New York (city or state, but for
the state search "NY" separately, too).
Conferences
are listed chronologically in the main list, where one may, of course,
search the list using the "find" or "search" function of
the WWW browser being used. Because the different sources for conferences
do NOT use a standard format for the date, and I do not now attempt
to put them into a standard format, searching by date in the blank above
is not a good idea unless all possible combinations are tried.
Links where
one may search for additional conferences.
There also are links to other related sites
which Linguists, Translators, Interpreters and Teachers of Languages should
find of value.
Once upon a
time, this site received four stars from
the
Magellan. Thank you!
As all
information pasted to the list is cut from the original source (hypertexted
with each schedule) I cannot be held responsible for errors. Check the
provided source first. Otherwise, please send corrections, additions,
and updates to
