5) Ch 2, turn; sc, ch 2 in top of first dc and in ea dc across to end; end sc in last dc. End off - weave in end.
WINGS
1) For first wing, with gold metallic or contrasting color, and right side facing, attach contrasting cotton (1st row of top of dress) to side of 1st dc around post with a sl stitch; (ch 1, sc, hdc, dc, dc, trc, ch 2 sl stitch to top of trc for picot) all around same post. End off - weave in end.
2) For second wing and right side still facing (head faces your right hand), work opposite wing as follows: sl stitch around post (opposite side of top of dress), ch 5, sl stitch in 3rd ch from hook for picot, dc, dc, hdc, sc, sl stitch. End off - weave in end.
HALO
With back of head facing, sl stitch in 3rd free dc from beginning of dress on head, ch 5 with contrasting cotton, skip 3 dc on head, sl stitch in next dc, ch 5, sl stitch to beginning sl stitch to complete circle of halo. End off - weave in ends. > >Stiffen, if desired. Think it will be cuter stiffened because you can bend wings and straighten out halo. Place small gold safety pin on back, fastening into sides of wings. If desired, tie a tiny bow from contrasting thread and glue to front of dress (although I'm not sure it even needs it). Enjoy!!
