What does the name Atlassian mean?
It means 'like Atlas' or 'Atlas-like' - it's not a real word, but it's the would-be
adjectival form of Atlas.
Atlas was an ancient Greek god whose role in life was to stand atop Mount Olympus,
holding up the sky with his hands to stop it from falling.
He literally was the first person to fulfil our mission to provide legendary
service while 'supporting the world'.
Who is Cadrion and how do they relate to Atlassian?
Cadrion was a UK-based company that provided (amongst many other services)
support for J2EE. Unfortunately due to tough market conditions, they were forced
to close the business. Atlassian took over their client relationships and merged
their support offerings with ours.
