BORLAND® KYLIX™ NOW AVAILABLE
SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., March 7, 2001 - Borland Software Corporation (Nasdaq: BORL), a leader in e-business implementation platforms, today announced the immediate availability of Borland® Kylix™. Kylix is the first native rapid application development (RAD) environment for the Linux® operating system (OS).
Kylix combines an intuitive visual design environment, optimizing native code compiler, interactive debugger and comprehensive component suite to give developers the tools they need to deliver Web, desktop and database applications on Linux fast. Corporate and individual developers can now take advantage of the flexibility of cross-platform capabilities and a native RAD environment.

Apache™ developers can accelerate their Web server development with NetCLX™. NetCLX combines browser, server and database development technologies to quickly deliver scalable Web applications that support a large number of users and large volumes of data. With DataCLX™ and dbExpress™, developers can easily integrate corporate information into applications via high-speed database drivers for IBM® DB2®, Oracle® 8i, InterBase® and MySQL™.
