Ola! I have today and tommorow off (huzzah for me!), but I'm still keeping in touch with the office.

Keef Bartkus is the editor for Episode #501. Our two editors (Tom Vogt - who also worked as assistant editor on "That's My Bush" - being the other) alternate episodes, mostly to prevent massive burnout. Oh, and a big shout out to our assistant editor David List, who was the first person to say hi to me on my first day at South Park.

Anyways, we already have an animatic (recorded dialogue and storyboards edited together on tape) floating around, and we've had retake sessions, so it's just a matter of time before we see some animation.

Here's something for all you budding South Park animators. Thanks J.J.

Looks like we might be doing another South Park clip for the MTV Movie Awards. I say "might" (a great and defunct magazine, by the way) because we haven't seen a script yet, and Matt and Trey are out of town.

Anyways, you can now email me at and tell me what you want to see in the Behind the Scenes section, or if you have questions for specific crew members (keep in mind that these may take a while to answer).

I also see that Breayle has put up an Interviews page in the section. Sweeet! I'll be archiving all the interviews we've done in that section so you won't have to go digging in the news archives.

J.J. (Franzen, System Adminstrator) has created an environment for Counter Strike, based on South Park Studios - complete with cubicles, exterior picnic area, and Matt and Trey's pagoda.

We'll try to put screen shots up, or maybe J.J. will put up the link again so you guys can play against the SP staffers. Just remember to stay away from my cube. It's rigged.

Pets are a big part of South Park: Cartman has a kitty and a pig, Kyle an elephant, Stan a dog and a spooky fish, and Kenny a stray mutt. Matt and Trey have pets as well. Trey has two cats and Matt has two dogs - one of which seems to have a thing for my left ankle.

Speaking of Spooky Fish, after Episode #215 aired, Trey got two goldfish for the office. Unfortunately, the trauma of being left alone during hiatus a year later was too much for Fish #1. Fish #2 didn't last much longer. They will be missed...eventually.
