Okok - I'm late. Here is the beginning of the storyline. It is only very rough and I have several questions which would be nice to be answered. And comments would be nice, too :)
The whole thing is done in visio - should I put it somewhere in the cvs-tree?

Erm, I don't know a better way to put this... LCID, we've got a story already. Sorry.

There is an entire story framework that is already completed (has a beginning and an ending), characters that have been created, and from here on out, Jeremy and I are going to be taking a top-down arrangement to the story, rather than asking other folks to write it.

All that's really left to do is detailed character backgrounds and going into very detailed plot and character development. Once I finish the character backgrounds, I'll send them out to a few people and post them, along with the basic framework of the story, online. Then, continuing with the top-down approach, I might invite you and a few other people to help me with the detailed sections of the plot.

Jeremy and I just decided one day that having a lot of different people coming up with a lot of different stories wasn't going to work, and in order to ease the writing of a coherent story, we went out and made the framework ourselves, and worked out a base list of other characters that you will interact with (and possibly play as, or along with) in the game. I'm thinking that over my spring break next week I'll finish detailed character profiles and backgrounds, and hopefully the week after, the top-level elements of the story will be online.

Then, you can help us fill in the blanks.

I apologize for kind of blackballing you here, LCID, but this top-down method is the consensus between Jeremy and I, as I understand it. Once the framework and character basics are online, I might look into some of the ideas in your story (the rastaman guy or the little girl) but they'll have to fit into the framework Jeremy and I come up with.

Justin

Actually, it wasn't so much that we decided that "top-down" was the way to go. It was more that there didn't seem to be much progress on a story coming from anywhere else, and we wanted to get one together to start working with. We just sat down together about a month ago and spent 4 or 5 hours hammering out a plot line, and not Justin's fleshing it out.

Like Justin said, sorry for not giving anyone a heads-up, but it just seemed that we were going to have to do it ourselves if it were going to get done at all.

(Also -- Justin. Hope you didn't miss me last weekend... I was pretty sick and staying at Emily's place. We can get together this weekend if you'll be around)

Hey LCID_Fire, since Messiah and Mr. Scott already have a plot, can I use yours?

*beg plead*
