One of the Council's principal goals is to find and nurture
the next generation of foreign policy leaders and thinkers.
Between 1994 and 1996, Council President Leslie H. Gelb established
three advisory committees of term members in New York City,
Washington, D.C., and Boston. These committees have served
as advisory bodies to the Council leadership, while providing
term members with the opportunity to help create programs
that respond to their interests and areas of expertise. Term
members are now some of the most devoted and active members
of the Council.
