What is Allegro Logo Competition?
Until now Allegro has been lacking a good logo to be put in the
titlescreens of games or the web pages of programmers. Now this competition
will try to change that by a friendly contest to make a suitable one.

Rules of the Allegro Logo Competition
The logos will be put anonymously on a voting page on 16. May 1999.
Voting will be public. One vote per person per category.
Voting will end on 21. May 1999 (12:00 GMT).
Authors who submit their logos on this contest will give up all rights.
The logos put on the voting page and the gallery afterwards will be public
domain and may be freely used in any way. By submitting an entry you will
agree on the previous terms.
There are two categories for logos to enter.
1. 16-color logo. If less colors have been used it will be noted by
2. 8-bit to 24-bit logo.
Logos for each category must be made in two sizes. Third size (huge) is
voluntary. Logos of different sizes must be similar and mutually exchangeable.
small: The logo must be 32x32 to 64x64 or with area
of 1024 to 4096 pixels and one dimension atleast 16 pixels.
large: The logo must be 96x96 to 128x128 or with
area of 9216 to 16384 pixels and one dimension atleast 48 pixels.
huge: This size group is voluntary. The logo must
have atleast one dimension 256 pixels. (The Competition logo on top of
this page is 358x84 for example)
If one of the obligatory sizes is not included. I will scale the logo using
Paint Shop Pro 5.0 and bilinear filtering. If 16-color logo, I will use
Smacker to reduce the colors of the resulting image down to 16 otherwise
I will leave it 24-bit.
The logos must be e-mailed to email@example.com
before deadline. Deadline to submit logos is 14.
May 1999 (12:00 GMT). Voting for winners starts on 14. May 1999
as soon as I have finnished the gallery...
The logos must be sent zipped (PKZip or similar) as e-mail attachments.
Naming is in format 4 first letters of your first name and 4 first letters
of your last name for the zip. Name the images as 4 first letters of your
first name and 3 first letters of your last name + s/l/h (small/large/huge).
Save the images in any format supported by Allegro (PCX,LBM,TGA,BMP).
For example I would name it like this: (Toni Ylisirniö) toniylis.zip;
toniylis.tga; toniylil.tga; toniylih.tga.
With the logo include the following information: Your e-mail address, Your
name (and the name you want to be included with your logo), what category
you want to enter and anything else you feel necessary.
One logo can enter as many categories as wanted and possible. Votes separate
for each category.
One person can include as many logos as wanted. If more than one logo is
sent please, take the last letter of you last name out and add a running
