Division covers the eastern area of the Leeds district and has a
diverse resident population of nearly 160,000.

like Garforth, dormitory towns and country villages. Among other
areas covered are Swillington, Crossgates, Swarcliffe, Halton,
Gipton, Aberford and Kippax.
During the last
decade, the area has benefited from regeneration and there has been
an explosion in housing stock and business developments. The
extension of the M1 through the Division has clearly had an impact
with major companies now attracted to the area.
