Lab Status

11-22-99: The furnace line is up. The laser line is down (smashed getter). Damage to our irradiation vessel at the reactor has delayed return of our most recent irradiation--please call for more info.

Lab News

The U-Th-He line is under construction, and we plan preliminary calibrations and first analyses for December. Helium will be analyzed on a dedicated system, using a Balzers quadrupole for gas analysis with a 3-He spike. The line will have a resistance furnace for routine outgassing analyses and a projector-bulb furnace for diffusion studies.
