Frank Solich shouldn't be taking so much heat for trying to get a touchdown on NU's last series Saturday against Texas.

While I wasn't crazy about the first-down call Jammal Lord's futile short-side option attempt I agree with the decision to go for six all the way.

It was a gamble to go for the touchdown, but it would have been a bigger risk to go to overtime against a Texas offense that appeared unstoppable in the second half.
