NHL welcomes Nickelback
Thursday, June 20, 2002
Yesterday was the NHL awards in Toronto and Nickelback were invited to perform and participate. The band performed How You Remind Me, and then followed it up by giving Patrick Roy the award for Best Goalie. The band was thrilled to meet all the players and get pictures with the Stanley Cup. All the players were very gracious and it was great to meet so many of them. As most know the band are avid hockey fans and getting to play a little game of street hockey with Lanny McDonald was a definate hi-lite. Thanks to Lanny and Ron Mclean for a great introduction and making the band feel so welcome.

During the day the guys got to try the repelling tower,as well as a whole lot of shooting at the firing range. The K-9 unit also came down and gave the band a demonstration. The day ended with a very impressive shooting display from the teams Sniper.Special thanks goes out to Captain Mark Palmer and the Lake County Sheriff"s Department and S.W.A.T. Team members.
