Pumping
energy through your veins and music to your brain, Live Wire! is a fast,
furious, hallucinogenic 3D enigma where you race against time, opponents and numerous
enemies for territorial domination of over 50 levels. Only when you have outrun
the 'best of the best' and mastered every level will you be the outright winner.
Live Wire! also includes adrenaline pumping dance music mixed by the
international D.J Allister Whitehead. With exceptional 3D graphics and 5 worlds
to complete and conquer, Live Wire! will keep you addicted for hours! The
object of the game is level domination. This is achieved by owning more tiles
after a given period of time than the opposition. A tile is captured by sending
the character around each of the four (or more) Live Wire!s' of the title.
Play takes place on the grid lines of 3D wireframe objects and landscapes. Players
navigate their way around the grid lines, changing the colours as they go. When
all the edges of a square are covered, the space inside flips over, forming a
solid textured polygon tinted in the player's colour.
Each level is populated by many unusual characters that endeavour to make life
increasingly more difficult for the players. Traps, blockades and other hindrances
also exist to challenge the players and act as hooks to advance the addiction
level of the game. Enemies can also be used to the player's advantage - strategy
is key! Players compete for territory in the form of these filled polygons.Once
all are filled in or a time out occurs the player with the largest area strikes
a win point and play progresses to the next level. Using bonuses dotted around
the shapes players can change the colour of the filled cells to their own or simply
blow them out of the shape quickly reversing a winning or losing situation.
