I have been teaching languages, history and social studies in Europe and Australia for close to 20 years. Over these years I have gained expertise in many areas of teaching, with continuing interest in the area of curriculum development and program design.

I am currently the CALL Coordinator at Monash University ELC, where I have designed CALL curricula and syllabi for General English, EAP classes and English Language Bridging Programs. In this capacity I was also a mentor in a CALL-oriented program of Thailand - Australia Science and Engineering Assistance Project to fellows from leading Thai universities.

I was involved in co-authoring of the Real English CD ROM series and I continue to work with a range of other authoring tools.

My latest passion though is exploring the role of the Internet in teaching languages and creating web-based teaching materials. I invite you to Renata's ESL/CALL corner for a collection of Australiana and ESL links.

The following links will also show you the results of our students' journey through language learning with the aid of computers:

organised in themes
Apeciation of Arts - Intermediate English Project (Renata Chylinski)

Research Project - Advanced Academic Class (Stephen Lock)

My Publications:
Appreciation of Art - CALL project (IATEFL Journal)
Filamentality: a time-effecient way of producing internet-based activities and publishing them on the WWW. (presented at 12 ELICOS Association Educational Conference, 14-16 October 1999, Adelaide, Australia )

My work is my hobby, so I spend a lot of hours studying CALL theories and exchanging ideas with CALL professionals all over the world. I do not forget though to check regularly my horoscope and to study and follow feng shui
