Halifax is the final stop of CBC-TV's 50th Anniversary VIA Rail Train, which will visit 21 communities across Canada and end its journey in Halifax on October 5.

Special broadcast
Watch for special 50th Anniversary programs including A Moment of Your Time, a look at the Maritimes as seen by CBC Television over the past 50 years. This hour-long regional special airs at 7 p.m. on CBC Television in Nova Scotia on Thursday, Oct. 3. The broadcast will also be repeated on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m.
