RETURN FOR A FRIEND

SG-1 was bored. There was nothing to do. Normally, they'd be out exploring worlds, or running tests , but not today. It's also been a while since Estricia has written or visited.

GH: Is anyone as bored as I am?

Jack: EVERYONE is bored, sir, there's nothing to do!

GH: Well, then, I'm going to have to call it a day. You can all go home.

A now happy SG-1 got up and ready to get out of their uniforms. They started running and laughing towards the locker rooms. As they approached the door, the alarms went off. The Stargate was being activated. SG-1 was now forced to go to the main operating room. At least now they had something to do.

Sam: What's going on? No one is out!

GH: Someone decided to pay us a visit.

Daniel: it's from Estricia's planet.

GH: Open the iris!!

The iris opened and everyone waited to see what was the matter. A box was sent through and the Stargate she down. SG-1 ran down to see what the box was.

Daniel(observing the box): it has a whole bunch of pictures on it, but I don't know what it means. What do you think, Teal'c?

Teal'c: it is not Jaffa. I cannot recognize it.

Jack: Great, what's *inside* the box?

Daniel opened the box and inside was a message. Daniel pulled out the paper and read.

Daniel: It says:"My friends, help me!! Something has gone wrong here. We are being attacked. Please help us!! Estricia"

GH: What is it?

Sam: It's a cry for help from Estricia, sir. She says her planet is being invaded.

Jack: I think we should go help her.

Everyone agreed to helping out their friend.

GH: Colonel, have your team ready in ten minutes.

SG-1 hurried so they could help Estricia.

Sam: You know, I was wondering why she stopped communicating with us.

Daniel: You think this attack went on for long?

Jack: I hope not, but we better seee what we can do.

Teal'c: We should take staff weapons for better protection.

Jack: Good idea, now let's move!!

They hurried to the Stargate, which was being activated, and went through. they saw what seemed to be the outskirts of a town. They could hear weapons being fired.

Jack: we better hurry. We have to find Estricia fast. Let's split up.

Just as they were going to start their search, someone famiiar called their names.

Estricia: jack, Sam, Daniel, Teal'c!! You got here very quickly!! Thank you!!

Jack: Are you ok? What's going on?

Estricia: Yes, I'm fine. It's quite obvious, and at the same time starnge. Again, Shar're has come to attack my home, only this time, she's not so alone. Apophis is with her. (Daniel's eyes started shining at the sounf of Shar're's name.)

Sam: Why are they here? How did they find his place?

Estricia: I don't know how they found it. They got through, saw a populated area, and attacked. They said they wouldn't leave until we worshipped them as our gods. I don't care what they say, I will not accept them as my gods!!

Daniel: You shouldn't. Nobody should.

Teal'c: What shall we do o drivve them away?

Jack: Let's go look. We could start by taking down as many guards as possible. Estricia, here. Take this gun.

Jack taught her how to use it, then they started for the town, searching every house they could. May guards were killed, but there was no sign of either Apohis or Shar're.

Daniel: Jacck, do you think maybe I can take Shar're home with me?

Jack: If Apophis doesn't hunt us down first, maybe yes.

Night came, and they still hadn't founf Apophis or Shar're. They camped out, and had something to eat.

Sam: This is a pretty big place.

Estricia: Yes, it is. But it's a great place to live in. Where do you think they are right now? Do you think they left?

Jack: I don't think so. They never leave without a fight. Let's get some sleep. we can take turns standing guard incase someone wants to visit.

Teal'c: I shall go first.

They camped there all night, always taking turns standing guard. the next morning, they got up quickly and packed up. They heard domeone coming their way. Everyone hid in the bushes. daniel didn't notice, but he had left his pistol behind.

They looked throught the leaves and noticed it was Apophis with Shar're at his arm. Danel's eyes glowed as he saw Shar're.

Apophis: Someone has been here.

Shar're: More than just *someone,* you can tell by the prints they left behind. What is that?

Shar're was reffering to Daniel's pistol. He looked around his uniform.

Daniel(whispering): Oh, no. That's my pistol, Sam. What now?

Sam: I don't know. Just keep still and quiet. And don't sneeze.

Daniel: That's gonna be hard, Sam. These bushes don't like me.

Sam: Daniel!

Shar're and Apophis recognized the weapon. They were looking around for its owner when they were surprised by a loud sneeze. Shar're ruffled some bushes where Daniel and Sam were. She gasped.

Daniel: Uh, hi!!

Sam: Nice day, huh?

Shar're grabbed them both by the arm and showed them to Apophis.

Apophis: I should have known you people would be here!! Are there others, Shar're?

Shar're: I saw only them.

Apophis: Are there other with you??!!

Daniel and Sam did not respond. Apophis smacked Sam across her face. He then took his staff weapon and broke Daniel's right leg. Shar're let him fall to the ground with great pain. She still held Sam firmly. Apophis was ready to kill Daniel.

Teal'c: O'Neill, Apophis will kill Daniel jackson if he does not respond. He will do the same with Captain Carter if she does not speak.

Jack, Teal'c and Estricia all got out of the bushes, each with a weapon in hand. Jack: Let them go!!

Apophis: So there *are* others!! I shall kill you after these two! Teal'c! How nice to see you again. it will be a pleasure to see you die at last!

Daniel looked up at Shar're and pleaded for her to stop this. She did not listen at first, slowly she came to reason. Apophis turned to where Daniel sat on the ground. He aimed at him. Shar're let go of Sam and stood in fron of Daniel.

Shar're: Don't do it!!

It was too late. Apophis had fired his weapon, shooting Shar're in the stomach. She fell to the side and died.

Daniel: Shar're!!

Apophis pushed Daniel away from her. He looked at what he had done. He didn't mean to do it, but she was now dead, and there was either of them could do about it. Apophis could not fight SG-1. He looked at Daniel, got up, and ran. Jack, Teal'c, and Estricia ran after him. Apophis was crossing through the Stargate.

Estricia: I couldn't see what address he dialed.

Jack: it's not worth going after him now.

Estricia: So now what?

Jack: How about you come with us? We need you to help explain this to the General. it's been a while since you've visited anyway.

Estricia: Of course, but we have to help Daniel. He's got a broken leg and heart.

Sam was coming with Daniel at her shoulder.

Daniel: She's dead! I can't believe she's gone!

Estricia: It's ok, Daniel. Just think that now she is free from that demon that possessed her.

Daniel: But that won't bring her back. I won't see her ever again.

Estricia gave Daniel a hug to try to console him. He hugged her back, appreciating the fact she cared. Then she wento to say good bye to her friends. This consisted of congratulations, and thank you's to her and SG-1. Then Sam dialed home on the DHD. When they got back to Earth, everyone's attention was drawn first to Daniel, and then Etsricia, who crossed last. Daniel was taken to mend his leg, and everyone greeted Estricia with hugs and kisses. This was all followed by mission debriefing. Then the General asked a question.

GH: Estricia, do you *want* to go back to that planet?

Estricia: What do you mean?

GH: I mean, would you like to stay here?

Estricia: Here?? On Earth?? Permanently??

GH: Yes. Here, you will not be attacked by anyone and you'll always have us here. All the time.

Estricia: But where would I live?

Sam: You could stay with me. Later if you want, you could find your own place.

Jack: Yeah, come on. It's gonna be a lot of fun!

Estricia: I guess so! Sure!! I'll stay!

They all cheered at her answer. Jack went to tell Daniel the good news. Although he was still depressed, he was happy to know Estricia would be staying with them. When everyone else heard the good news, they threw a little party for her, and she got her own SGC uniform.

After her party, everyone went home. Estricia helped Sam reorganize her apartment. Estricia was happy here, and she was glad to know she had wonderful frinds who cared for her.
