Search on Google by voice with a simple telephone call

To try out this demo, please follow these simple steps:

1. Pick up the phone and call the automated voice search system at (650) 318-0165.

2. After the prompt Say your Search Keywords, say your query to the system.

3. Click this link and a new window will open with your voice search results.

4. Say another query, and the new window with the search results will be updated with the new results.

More about the Results Page
After you hear the message Your Results are Ready, it might take a few seconds for the results to get updated.

In order to get results updated automatically, your browser needs to have Javascript enabled.

If the automatic update of the results doesn't work for you, you can go directly to the voice search results page, and refresh it manually by hitting the reload button after your results are ready.

Tips on Using the System
The system is set up as a loop: You say a query, it sends you the results, you say another query, and so on. When you're done with the demo, all you need to do is hang up the telephone.

The system is trained for normal, connected speech. It works best if you don't insert extra pauses between words, don't put any unnatural stress or emphasis on what you are saying, etc.

The system automatically detects when you start speaking, and when you have finished saying your query. All you have to do is say your query, and then be quiet while the system is working.

Please Help Us
The system has very limited capacity. Please don't use it for long stretches at a time, and give others a chance to try it.

If you call and the number is busy, please try again after a little while.
