My company is actually working! I have been making startup compay salary (crap) for the past year and some bits, but that looks like it's going to change. In the past 5 days we have closed on over $60K in sales. We run a tight ship here and keep our burn rate low. If this keeps up (and it looks like it's going to), we'll have a profitable company on our hands. Huzzah!
Baby's due in about 2 weeks, yikes! I have 3 more days at the office after today. I am training our new part time graphic designer Peter today and manana and next week. He's going to be taking the reins of Renewable Choice while I am out on my 2 months leave of absence. I feel very very lucky to be able to take that much time off. Most of the other dads in our child birth class got no more than 2 weeks. Hell, Heather isn't even supposed to leave the house for 2 weeks. I can't imagine if I then had to go back to work fulltime after a short 14 days.
If you are looking for an interesting blog to read, Wil Weaton (Stand by Me, Star Trek:TNG) is a pretty intesting guy.

Good News! My two friends Sarah Alice Goodson and Christian Wisecarver are getting married! I've known Sarah since our freshman year in high school (and dated her our senior year). I met Christian at UNH. We lived across the hall from each other. Sarah is the best teacher in the world and Christian is going to be a sick filmmaker. He's already shot his first feature length movie called "The Red Brick Road". The wedding is in July and I can't wait. It's hard being the only one of my group of friends to have a wife.
Hopefully they will also join us in being parents soon. I can't wait to corrupt their kids! ;)

11.19.02 Later on
What the hell!?! Damn it I wish I could afford an electric car. Our world addiction to oil means that every 5-15 years we are going to have a major ecological disaster in the form of an oil spill. Not to mention the pollution pouring out of the billions of cars chugging along the roads. What this world needs is a company that allows homes and businesses to choose clean energy. Oh wait, there is.

I just had a big ol' 4 day weekend. I only work Monday thru Thursday in a normal week. Heather had a doctor's appointment on Friday and had a slightly elevated blood pressure reading, so we had to go back yesterday to get another reading. What was supposed to be a simple BP reading turned into a 2.5 hour appointment, complete with slow (but nice), trainee nurse. Everything is OK, her blood tests came back fine. In less than 3 weeks we are going to have a baby.
Thanksgiving is coming early to the Gunther household this year. Since it seems like everyone we know is going somewhere else for thanksgiving this year, we are having a thanksgiving dinner next monday. Thankgiving is my favorite holiday. We are going to have MASS amounts of food to eat. I think we are going to have around 10 of our friends over for food and Monday Night Football. Can't wait.
Plus, I only have 6 more days in the office. I will be moving my computer home and working on the Renewable Choice Website 3.0 from home until the baby pops out.
