Content, not resentment welcomes Van der Lem's Saudi squad
Posted by: mohameds on Sunday, November 24, 2002 - 04:50 PM EET
PostNuke RIYADH, Nov. 25: Two days after announcing his 27-player list for the upcoming Arab Cup next month in Kuwait, it seems as if the disastrous World up campaign by Saudi Arabia took the toll of the local football observers and fans alike, both parties welcoming the new-look selection with content, at least for the time being.

Not even the ousting of veteran keeper Mohamed Al-Deayyea, and skipper Sami Al-Jaber, both outfits being present for the last 10 years but had an erratic World Cup campaign throughout the three-match first round campaign, has ignited any resentment amongst the game's experts and pundits.
