Materials:
Small yards White or Color of choice worsted weight yarn (you can use sport)
Small yards Flesh color
Small yards Hair color
Size 16 or 18 tapestry needle for weaving
Size D hook
Small safety Pin
Round 1: Using flesh color, chain 2, 10 sc in second ch from hk, sl st in top of ch 2. (head made). Change to white, ch 1 (do not turn)
Round 2: Sc in same space as ch 1, sc in the next 2 sc, ch 1, turn
Row 3: 2 sc in same st as ch 1, sc in the next sc, 2 sc in last sc, ch 1 turn.
Row 4: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn,
Row 5: 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn.
Row 6: Sc in each sc across, fasten off.
Row 7, Attach flesh color to fasten off, (foot) ch 2, 3 sc in sec ch from hk, fasten off, weave in end through joining and foot.
(this keeps the foot in position)
Arm: (If making a pair, make sure boy is facing girl, before attaching arms)
Row 1: Attach white around 1st stitch on row 3 (leave long tail to weave back through arm later, this helps arm to stay up) ch 3, sc in second ch from hk, and remaining two chains. Ch 1 turn.
Row 2: Sc in each sc across, fasten off. (weave end through first row of arm)
Hand:
Attach flesh to second sc of arm, ch 2, 3 sc in second ch from hk, fasten off. Weave through joining and hand to keep in place.
Hair (Girl)
Attach hair color yarn, one sc to right of middle sc of head, * ch 3, sl st in same space *, (repeat from *to * to going left toward direction of foot) chain 5, cut.
(Boy) Attach hair color yarn, to middle sc of head, sl st in each sc to the left and fasten off (weave in ends).
Add safety pin to back.
