"Lean"? It means that we're tired of the bloatware that exists on the desktop and now appears to be moving to the handheld. We work very hard to write small, tight code that won't waste your time or resources.
We also aspire to a reasonable upgrade policy:
Software updates will be made available to customers as for free, as long as there is no effort in our doing so. If effort is required, a fee will be charged to cover those costs. This means that new updates will be available on our web site for free download. If you need to have a disk mailed to you, we will charge you for some nominal shipping. We'd appreciate it if people would just download stuff -- it frees us up to code instead of play with the post office!
We hope to make this a blanket policy for all 'normal' updates. Really huge updates that required us to mortgage the house to finance may be a different story. (:
Check out what happens when you load up the folks of Scrawl with backpacks full of Newton equipment, a three-axis accelerometer and an interface box. We spent the day riding the rides, measuring the accelerations and documenting the whole trip! With the rugged makeup of the eMate we were able to take it into high (and zero) G situations, use it in the rain and even show results in real-time to interested students and park workers. Check out all the action!
Update: YAZI 2.0b4 is now in public beta for registered users! This version allows registered users to play the latest text adventure games up to 10 times faster than previous versions and works with Zip v4, v5 and v8 games. This enables play of almost all of the old Infocom games as well as the majority of the games written for the annual Interactive Fiction Competition.
Update: PT100 is now out of beta! However, new beta releases, currently at 1.1b4 (faster, with more features [login scripts, text capture, text logging) are also available.
