How do I use Email Remover?
Sometimes situations occur when a user needs to be able to delete mail from their mailbox because
of large file attachments, "Spam", or corrupt mail headers (usually caused when a piece of mail is forwarded too many times).
Windows 95/98/NT users can use a utility called Email Remover can be used to view the contents of your mailbox as well as delete messages you do not wish to reload.
This tools is only for Windows 95, 98, and NT users. It will not run on a Macintosh or Windows 3.x computers.
Installing Email Remover:
1. Download Email Remover - Click Here To Download eremov24.exe (223k) self extracting zip
2. After downloading eremov24.exe, double click on it to extract the program. You will see this screen:

Click on Unzip and the Email Remover program will be extracted to c:\eremove.
Running Email Remover
1. Open the C:\EREMOVE folder and double click on the
icon.
2. The first time you load Email Remover you will be prompted to supply information that it needs to access your SNiP mailbox.

Click Next to continue.
3. Fill in the information:

User ID: Fill in your username. This is the first part of your email address - jsmith@snip.net would fill in jsmith
Password: Fill in your SNiP password. This can be found on the label that came with your software.
Pop Server: Enter the SNiP POP3 mail server address: mail.snip.net as shown above.
Port: Leave it set for 110 (this will already be filled in for you)
Click Next to continue.
4. You MUST BE ONLINE to proceed beyond this point.

Make sure the dot is next to "I want to retrieve mail headers using below account"
Click Next to continue.
5. You will see a small window telling you it is connecting.

6. If you have mail in your box a window similar to the one shown below will open.

This screen shows the date, time, sender, and subject of each message in your box. Any messages with a file attachment will be indicated by a small paperclip to the
left of the size (as shown with the mail from Mary Smith).
7. Email Remover gives you several choices for each menu. These are accessed by clicking on an individual message and then clicking once with the
right mouse button.

If you want to see the contents of the message click on Retrieve first 100 lines or Retrieve entire message. Larger messages will take longer to retrieve if you use the
Entire message feature.
8. Email Remover will open a new window for the message you are retrieving.

When you have read the message you can click Save As... to save the messag to a text file on your hard drive or Close to go back to the message list.
9. Removing messages:
Select all the messages you wish to delete from your mail box.

The messages you select will be deleted from the SNiP Mail Server.
THIS IS PERMANENT. ANY MAIL YOU DELETE FROM THE SERVER WITH EMAIL REMOVER CAN NOT BE
RECOVERED.
Click Next to start deleting the mail.
Click Yes if you are sure you wish to delete the messages.

10. Finally, Email Remover will display this screen to tell you it has finished deleting the messages.

Click Finish to close Email Remover.
