Well we are fast approaching the end. I just looked at this week's guests. I have to admit the Chuck Barris show appeals to me. This could a classic. Chuck Barris led a secret life as a CIA hit man??? Whoa Nelly, let the imagination run wild. I wonder if Jaye P Morgan or Nipsy Russell will call in on the Wild Card Line.

Toward the end of the week, I can see Art has his old regulars booked. It's going to be a sad month, with all the old favorites coming out for one last bow.------------------ Rick Jackson

If Art does more than 5 shows between now and his retirement, I'll be surprised. And that's sad.

Whitney made an interesting comment on yesterday's UnKnown Country. He said that he and Art were being effectively silenced. He mentioned that Art wouldn't be back for two years. He specifically said "two years." This sounds a lot like a non-compete clause. To me it sounded like Whitley was implying that Art would be back to radio then. Did anyone else hear this? This is the first time I've heard any statement about Art actually coming back again. Made it sound like he quit to get out of his contract, to me.

Yup. I heard Whitley say that stuff and I got that same impression. Also, Whitley basically stated at one point that (I'm paraphrasing) he is all about getting at the truth and he will personally NOT be silenced. He also said to watch his journals because they were going to become a lot more frank. Apparently, Whit couldn't say the kinds of things (or say them in the kind of way) that he wanted to under contract with Premrad. Now that Premrad has dumped him and the show, there's no reason for Whit to hold back. So watch his journals; I have a feeling we're in for some "full disclosure" about several different things in 2003. ------------------ ~*~*~*~*~* Kacy C.
