Fishing Facts: Erection of a flotation plant by the Nova Scotia government at Malagash, Pictou County [NS], to provide a better quality salt is progressing favorably, Dr. Alan E. Cameron, Deputy Minister of Mines said recently. Efforts are being made to secure a purer form of salt which can be used in the Nova Scotia fishing industry. Bulk of salt used by the industry is obtained from the salt beds at Turk's Island in the West Indies. Canadian Fishermen, January 1944
