Government Information on the Internet
Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it.

This page provides access to World Wide Web government information. These lists are updated
frequently, as new information becomes available.
Neat New Stuff
This section provides access to new and/or interesting sites that we particularly enjoy. The choices are
completely arbitrary, subject to change without notice. Try it, you might like it!
- President's Council on Year 2000 Conversion
- This site contains information on the Year 2000 (Y2K) computer problem including the Federal government's efforts to prepare its computer systems, links to information on Y2K compliance for critical sectors of the economy, and other Y2K resources. Happy New Year!
- Uncle Sam - Migrating Government Publications
- This page offers direct links to printed federal publications that are migrating to the Internet. The value here is threefold: the links are to the documents (not the opening page of the issuing agency), publications can be found directly by Superintendent of Documents classification number, or, more usefully, alphabetically by publication title.
- International Y2K Cooperation Center
- The IY2KCC was created in February, 1999 under the auspices of the United Nations, with funding
from the World Bank. "Our mission is to promote increased strategic cooperation and action among
governments, peoples, and the private sector to minimize adverse Y2K effects on the global society
and economy." As the world crosses from 1999 to 2000, the IY2KCC will flash color-coded reports on everything from energy and communications
to financial and government services and air, land and sea transport. Anyone with access to the
Internet will be able to monitor, country-by-country, the status of the technology-challenging date
change.
