Ryan Newman often starts races from the top spot, but on Sunday he finished first for just the second time in his Cup career. Newman took the checkered flag for the Samsung/RadioShack 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon's battle at the finish stole some of the focus on Sunday.
