Manuscript pages from Diego de Freyle, 1588 -

This manuscript resides in the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C. It was purchased from the University of Madrid in 1972 along with another manuscript by Martin de Anduxar from 1640.

The manuscript consists of 74 pages, 48 of which contain patterns. The format is very similar to Alcega.

A translation to the patterns is underway and should be available in late December. Any text listed with the patterns that is contained in fancy parentheses {} indicates a word not yet translated out.

The above patterns represent only a small portion of what is contained in the Freyle manuscript. More will be added as time allows.
