For $19.95 per year, you can download and play 12 months of the New York Times Daily Crossword Puzzle on your computer. You can also print out the puzzle and take it with you wherever you go. The service also features:

· Both puzzles from the Sunday New York Times Magazine
· Java Acrostics
· The Across Lite Crossword Puzzle Player, which functions as a Web browser plug-in and automatically starts when you download a puzzle from our Web site. The player is available for Windows, Macintosh, OS/2 and many Unix platforms.
· Access to The New York Times Crossword Puzzle Archive with puzzles dating back to 1996.
· The Crossword Puzzle Forum, hosted by "Puzzle Masters" Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon
How do I purchase Premium Crosswords?
You can purchase digital products from NYTimes.com quickly and securely. These products include Premium Archives, Premium Crosswords, Topics of The Times and Editors' Picks. When you make your first purchase on NYTimes.com you will be asked to provide billing and credit card information over a secure connection. We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover Card. Once you have completed this process, you will not need to re-enter this information for subsequent transactions. You can modify and update all of your billing and credit card information in the secured area of the Member Center. Click on the Premium Account tab.
What happened to my Qpass account?
If you purchased a premium product from us in the past, you used Qpass, our e-commerce partner, to handle the transaction. In order to improve your purchasing experience, we have replaced Qpass with a transaction system managed by NYTimes.com. From now on, all your transactions on NYTimes.com will be available under the Premium Account Tab in our Member Center. Transactions purchased through Qpass (before March 20, 2002) can be viewed at Myqpass.com.

How do I cancel my Premium Crosswords subscription?
To cancel your Premium Crosswords subscription, visit the Premium Account area of Member Center and click on the cancel link under the heading: "Your Premium Collection." If you encounter problems with this product, please e-mail customer service at diversions@nytimes.com.
What is the refund policy for Premium Crosswords?
Because Premium Crosswords requires you to download and install software, we will refund 100% of the price if you have difficulties with the download of this product and cancel within seven days of purchase. If you request a refund after seven days of purchase, we will grant a partial refund for the time remaining on your subscription. To cancel your Premium Crosswords subscription, visit the Premium Account area of Member Center and click on the cancel link under the heading: "Your Premium Collection." If you encounter problems with this product, please e-mail Customer Service at diversions@nytimes.com.

Does my Premium Crosswords subscription automatically renew?
Yes. Both the annual and the monthly Premium Crosswords subscriptions are set up to automatically renew. Provided that your current e-mail address is in our system, a reminder e-mail will be sent to you one week before the subscription is due to renew. To check that your e-mail address is current, please visit the Your Profile section of our Member Center. We also suggest that you check that your credit card information is current in the Premium Account section of Member Center.
Where can I find a list of my past transactions?
Transactions before March 20, 2002 were purchased through Qpass our former billing partner and you'll need to visit Myqpass.com to see those transactions. After March 20, 2002, a list of your recent transactions can be found under the Premium Account Tab of the Member Center.
How do I set up my computer so that I can view the puzzles?
To view the crosswords you must download and install Across Lite. Step-by-step instructions are available.
What should I do if I have trouble viewing the puzzles?
Please be sure you have both downloaded Across Lite AND completed the installation procedure.
If your account has been charged for Premium Crosswords and you have installed Across Lite, there may also be a problem with your Web browser. Check the Across Lite FAQ to be sure that you have correctly installed the software necessary for viewing the crosswords.
Why am I seeing a previous day's puzzle instead of today's puzzle?
You are probably viewing a previous day's page, which was "cached" on your computer. Since our Web site gets updated constantly, you need to set your Web browser so that it will not "cache" pages. The purpose of a "cache" is to prevent the browser from reloading each page, and instead require it to use a version stored locally on your hard drive; using a "cached" page will prevent you from seeing the most current pages we offer. To make sure you are not viewing a "cached" page, first try pressing the "Reload" or "Refresh" button on your browser to refresh the page. If the same page reappears, you need to "clear the cache" of temporary internet files. To do this, please consult your web browser’s help documentation under "cache."
What should I do if I see the message "Found -- This Document Has Moved?"
This error message appears when your bookmark to the crossword puzzles is outdated. You need to delete your old bookmark and then add a new one. To do this, go to our home page www.nytimes.com, choose "Crosswords/Games" from the list of sections, and then on the page that follows, click on the link: "Subscribers enter here." Now bookmark the puzzles' index that follows.
I subscribe to The New York Times newspaper. Do I get a discount?
We currently do not offer discounts for subscribers of The New York Times newspaper. However, we are looking into offering future discounts for home delivery subscribers. We do have a free puzzle available in Java format on the Crosswords and Games page.
Can WebTV users access Premium Crosswords puzzles at NYTimes.com?
Unfortunately, no. To play the crossword puzzles you must be using a computer in order to download and install the Across Lite puzzle program.
Can I give someone Premium Crosswords as a Gift?
For technical reasons, we cannot currently offer the Premium Crosswords as a gift. We are looking into adding this feature in the future.
