THUNDERSTORM SEASON WINDING DOWN IN CENTRAL NEW YORK
The chance of thunderstorms will steadily decrease over the next few months as winter approaches. There will be occasional days where the radios are offline but the situation should generally improve as we get closer to the end of October.

PLEASE CHECK HERE BEFORE SENDING EMAIL ASKING
IF THE RADIOS ARE DOWN!

NEW - Video of the Web Radio setup available -  Recently a local TV station (WSTM-TV in Syracuse, NY) paid a visit to do a story on the web radio setup. With their permission I'm making it available on the web site as a Real Media file. Just download it, unzip it and watch it with the Real Player software you already use to listen to the radios. The file is about 750K and runs almost 3 minutes.

You can try to view the clip online but since this site is a bit limited in bandwidth the video will look much better when you download it and view it off-line. If there are lots of people listening to the radio there may not be enough bandwidth available to stream this clip. If you get a message that the bandwidth is used up then either download the clip or try it again later.

For more information about the web radio setup (including antenna details and location)
please see the "About" and Frequently Asked Questions items below.

Universal Radio also sells the Icom IC-R75 and Ten-Tec RX-320 receivers.

A note from N2JEU - If you can't find what you're looking for in Universal's on-line catalog or their paper catalog then you may have a hard time finding it elsewhere. They have one of the largest selections of SWL and scanner gear and books that I've ever seen. Please give them a chance to fill your equipment and information needs.
