How we work
We will work whichever way is most productive and convenient for our clients. However, we have found the following mindsets and methodologies to lead most directly to Internet marketing success.
Approach to all project development
Regardless of what work we do for our clients, we start with two basic premises:
- Successful Internet marketing is based on simplicity
- Successful Internet marketing focuses on what the target wants to get or hear, not what marketers want to give or say
Approach to building a "website satisfaction pathway"
We believe that a website should be built in this order:
- Determine site objectives and measurable goals
- Determine general site content areas based on objectives/goals
- Develop site architecture/information pathways
- Identify keyword phrases for each section and subsection/page that are most often used in actual searches, as well as number of competing pages in search returns
- Develop site design based on simplicity of navigation and search optimization
- Test site/page prototypes with actual users
- Create actual site/pages, based on user testing and search optimization principles
- Test site/page prototypes with actual users
- Hand-submit primary pages to major search and directory sites
- Analyze site log data and search positioning, adapt as necessary
Many agencies and their clients skip the identification of keyword phrases and prototype testing. While these phases require more time up front--or more costs to fit into tight timetables--they also save much more money, long term.
It is the time-tested "measure twice, cut once" approach favored by home builders, which ensures minimal waste and a solid framework and foundation.
Approach to doing the work
Depending on the job requirements and client wishes, we will:
- Complete all work within our agency
- Work with our preferred vendors
- Work with a client's preferred vendors
- Work with a client's in-house group
We are perfectly comfortable working with other agencies on a client's roster. Our focus is on doing the best job possible, rather than on stealing someone else's business.
