CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 8, 2003 - Air
Midwest flight 5481, a Beechcraft-1900 going from Charlotte,
N.C., to Greenville/Spartanburg, S.C., has been involved in an
accident in Charlotte. It has been confirmed that that the
aircraft carried 19 passengers and two crewmembers.
Authorities also have confirmed that there
are no survivors. The aircraft struck a US Airways maintenance
hangar at the airport. There are no injuries among US Airways
employees working at that hangar and all of these employees
have been accounted for.
