Child's Square Yoke

This square yoke is composed of medallions made like those of the bonnet.
Join 2 medallions by middle picots of 2 consecutive rings; join 3rd medallion
to 2nd, leaving 1 free ring of latter between, so that a corner of 3 medallions
is formed; join 4th and 5th medallions as you did the 2nd, then form the 2nd
corner, and repeat until you have formed the square of 12 medallions. Do not
join last medallion to 1st.

For the inner edge:
R: 3-3+(to middle p of 4th r from inner joining of 1st medallion)3-3, cl, rw
*CH: 2-2-2-2, rw
R: 4+(to p joining the 2 rings of medallion)4, cl, rw
CH: 2-2-2-2, rw
R: 4+(to middle p of next r of medallion)4, cl, rw
Repeat from * 1 time.

Make the outer edge in the same way, with large rings between medallions, and 3 small rings, with short chains between, over each medallion except the corners, make 9 small rings, with short chains between, joining a small ring to middle picot of ring of medallion and between rings, alternately.
