UPDATE ON CONTACTING MITCH:Due to the incredible amount of email being sent to Mitch and the number of consecutive days he has been spending on the road, I am finding it very difficult to effectively deliver hard copies of everything sent to him. Mitch loves you all and doesn't wish anyone to feel neglected but I am unable to get it to him in a timely manner. The volumn that arrives is simply unmanageable for someone who is not online. Thanks for understanding.

Mitch's Words
March 21, 2003

Hello Web Site Visitors!

It's Hedberg writing in from Atlanta. Dwelling in the Omni Hotel with Lynn, thinking about embarking on the eight dollar CNN tour. Had one of the oddest gig situations here, performing an hour long set AFTER an Atlanta Thrashers hockey game. The sports fans were invited to stay and surprisingly quite a few did. My image was broadcast on the soaring, 200 ft. high scoreboard video screen. Self-consciousness crept up on me as I gazed at my 40 ft. head. I do the radio spots for the team. I say "Hockey Love" and post-production adds a bunch of other stuff. I never get to hear the ads much cuz I don't live here but I think people like 'em but maybe are sick of them by now.

I copied AXL ROSE and wore a Thrashers jersey for the show. Don't think less of me. The reaction to the post game joke was spectacular. But Atlanta won so maybe that helped. Had they lost..."We lost, I don't give a fuck what this guy thinks of xylophones". That may have been said. Luckily, I don't think it was.

Did my 10th spot on Letterman last March 12th. Before I went on, my money manager/accountant was kind enough to tell me I owed a bunch of money to the IRS for taxes. Great way to lift a comics attitude before he goes on T.V. But, Mark is a great guy. He also has EDDIE MURPHY as a client. My checks might pale in comparison.

This is long and not too funny, I apologize.                                                                                                                         Mitchell Hedberg.
