Undisputedly the king of military-themed videos, director Paul Barresi (with a tip of the hat to Dirk Yates, of course), has put together yet another military-themed epic entitled Reporting For Booty: A Marine’s Life is Hard! for Regiment Productions, a division of Pleasure Productions.
Featuring a bevy of beefcake, Reporting For Booty stars GayVN nominee Jason Hawke, hung Jason Sizemore, Danny Lopez, Ryan Scott, Adrian Troy, Kirk Kelley, Jack London and newcomer Josh Peters.
Barresi had nothing but raves about the shoot, which is a simple story about superior officers in the military who abuse the power of their rank to get laid. "It went great, there were no major problems - it was terrific," he said. "Regiment shoots are always the easiest to work on because the team is so in sync. We’re all on the same page and you couldn’t ask for better help."
He also raves about one of the stars: Jason Hawke. "You know, working with Jason is like a director’s dream. I don’t rave about many models, I really don’t. But in my six, seven years of directing in this industry, Jason easily sits in the top 10 models who I would list as being the ideal porn actor. He’s very professional and very respectful of what is happening on the shoot. Such a gentleman."
A former Playgirl and Colt model himself, Barresi states, "I write my own scripts and I draw from real life experience. In my view, nothing reads better on film than the real thing." Barresi credits his success as a director to his years of having worked in front of the camera.
In early 2001, the Regiment team wanted to celebrate the mass appeal of young, masculine men by releasing two new lines. "There is a certain sex appeal attached to streetwise abrasiveness," says Barresi. "I can put some sizzle into that." And what better backdrop than a college campus to delve more broadly and deeply into the freedom of a young man’s sexuality and pleasures? Hence, the birth of two, all new, Regiment series: Frat Boys... On the Loose and Bad Boys.
Barresi concludes, "The Regiment team prides itself on its continued strive to create and innovate. Our strength is in our diversity. A project of any great magnitude is not achieved by one person alone. It is rather the product of many hands, hearts and minds."
