Vermont's oldest cultural organization, the Southern Vermont Arts Center is located in Manchester, Vermont in a National Historic Trust Mansion. The Arts Center's ten galleries feature classic and contemporary art on view and for sale. The Southern Vermont Arts Center's 407-acres are situated on the slope of Mount Equinox and offer hiking trails, a botany trail, sculpture gardens and an indoor/outdoor cafe. In addition, art classes and performances of music and dance are offered in our newly renovated facilities. The Elizabeth de C. Wilson Museum, opened July, 2000 at the Southern Vermont Arts Center, is a stunning Hugh Newell Jacobsen-designed fine arts facility to display the Arts Center's 800-piece Permanent Collection and special traveling exhibitions from the nation's finest museums. |
