This is our original Windsok™. It is available as both a portable unit and sold alone for permanent installation. This unit is very popular with ultralight and hang glider pilots. It also works well at private airstrips and treatment plants. When used as a portable wind indicator by crop dusters it helps identify the site and eliminate over spray. Emergency medical services and fire fighters also carry the portable units to increase the safety factor of landing air ambulances in unfamiliar and hostile environments. Specifications

Telescopic Fiberglass Windsock Pole Easily collapses for storage and travel. These poles have a thicker, heavy duty tip section with a ring to attach your decorative windsock. Ham radio operators also use these poles for raising antennas. Pricing
Note: Shipping cost is included in price of fiberglass poles. This applies to orders shipped within the United States only. We have chosen these fabrics based on their utility. The 1.5 oz rip-stop nylon is perfect for portable Windsoks. It is light weight and more sensitive to light wind conditions. Rip-stop is also available in fluorescent colors. Most of our emergency medical services and military customers prefer the fluorescent fabrics. The only drawback is that soks made from this fabric fade quickly. This does not usually pose a problem when used as a portable unit. The 1.9 oz rip-stop nylon is a slightly heavier fabric. We can only recommend Tri-Ad for permanent installations. Tri-Ad last several times longer and holds its color better than any other fabric we have found to date. Tri-Ad - This durable 200 denier fabric has ultra-violet inhibitors and an environmentally friendly Aqua-Thane coating that resists sunlight and acid rain. Windsoks made of Tri-Ad will last several times longer than standard fabrics. We highly recommend Tri-Ad for all permanent installations.
