Materials:

Yarn:
Lion Brand Yarns "Lion Chenille Sensations" (100% Solutia Acrylic Chenille,
1.4 oz/40g/87 yds per skein) in color #402 Milan print.

Amount: 12 (13, 14, 15, 17) skeins

Other material needed: Stitch markers, two 11/8" buttons.

Needle Size: 24" or 29" circular needles size 6 or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge:
16 stitches and 23 rows = 4" in Stockinette Stitch. STEAM block swatch but do not press; never touch hot iron to surface of knitting.

Abbreviations:
Stockinette Stitch = knit on right side rows, purl on wrong side rows.
Reverse Stockinette Stitch = purl on right side rows, knit on wrong side rows.
Place (stitch) marker onto needle
Pattern Note: Work back and forth on circular needles, do not join work together to form a circle. Use of circular needles is to accommodate large number of stitches when working edging.

BACK:
Cast on 86 (94, 102, 110, 118) stitches.
Bottom Edge Rolling Inward: Begin with a purl row or right side row and work in reverse stockinette stitch for 6 rows, end ready to work a right side row.
Body: Begin with a knit row and work in stockinette stitch. At same time, decrease 1 stitch at either end every 22nd row 4 times - 78 (86, 94, 102, 110) stitches. Work even until piece measures 20" total from beginning or 116 rows altogether, end ready to work a right side row.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 3 (4, 5, 4, 4) stitches at beginning of next 2 rows, then 2 stitches at beginning next 0 (0, 0, 2, 2) rows. Decrease 1 stitch at either end on next right side row and every other row 2 (3, 4, 5, 8) times total, then decrease 1 stitch at either end every 4th row 1 (1, 1, 1, 0) times. Work even on remaining 66 (70, 74, 78, 82) stitches until piece measures 81/2 (9, 91/2, 10, 101/2)" from beginning armhole shaping, end ready to work a wrong side row.
Shape Back, Neck and Shoulders: On next row, work across first 21 (22, 23, 24, 25) stitches, join a separate ball of yarn and bind off next center 24 (26, 28, 30, 32) stitches. Working both shoulders at same time, bind off from each shoulder edge 5 stitches 2 (3, 3, 3, 2) times, then 4, (0, 0, 0, 6) stitches 1 (0, 0, 0, 1) times. At same time, from each neck edge, bind off 2 stitches once, then decrease 1 stitch at each neck edge on next right side row, work even until completion of shoulder shaping. Bind off remaining 4 (4, 5, 6, 6) stitches.

Left Front:
Cast on 44 (48, 52, 56, 60) stitches.
Bottom Edge Rolling Inward: Work as for back.
Body: Work as for back but work decreases at right end of right side rows only - 40 (44, 48, 52, 56) stitches. Work even until piece measures same as back to armhole shaping.
Shape Armholes: Work as for back but work shaping at right end of right side rows only. Work even on 34 (36, 38, 40, 42) stitches until piece measures 4 (4, 41/4, 41/2, 41/2)" from beginnning armhole shaping or 24 (24, 241/4, 241/2, 241/2)" total from beginning, end ready to work a right side row. Mark left end for neck edge.
Shape Front Neck: On next row and every other row, decrease 1 stitch at end of row or neck edge. At same time, when front measures same as back to shoulder, work shoulder shaping as for back beginning with a right side row.
Right Front:
Work to correspond to left front, reversing shaping by: decreasing body stitches at left end of right side rows, begin armhole shaping on a wrong side row, work neck decreases at right end of right side rows, and begin shoulder shaping with a wrong side row.
Sleeves:
Cast on 36 (38, 40, 42,44) stitches, work bottom edge rolling inward same as for back.
Body: Begin stockinette stitch with a knit row on right side and increase 1 stitch on either end every 4th row 2 (5, 11,15, 21) times, then every 6th row 11 (9, 5, 3, 0) times. Work even on 62 (66, 72, 78, 86) stitches until piece measures 15 (15, 15, 15-1/2, 16-1/2)" total from beginning, end ready to work a right side row.
Shape Cap: Bind off 3 (4, 5, 4, 4) stitches at beginning of next 2 rows, then 2 stitches at beginning next 0 (0, 0, 2, 2) rows. Decrease 1 stitch at either end on next right side row and EOR 4 (6,7, 7, 8) times total. Bind off 2 stitches at beginning next 20 (20, 18, 8, 0) rows. For Size L Only: Bind off 4 stitches beginning next 2 rows, then 6 stitches beginning next 2 rows. For All Size: Bind off remaining 8 (6, 12, 16, 58) stitches.
Finishing:
Steam block all pieces to measurement. Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams.
Edging Rolling Outward: With right side facing, begin at lower center edge of right front. Pick up and knit 97 (97, 98, 99, 99) stitches evenly spaced along center edge to beginning neck shaping marker, place stitch marker onto needle; slipping markers as you go, pick up and knit 27 (29, 31, 33, 35) stitches evenly spaced along side edge of right front neck, pick up and knit 32 (34, 36, 38, 40) stitches evenly spaced along back neck edge, pick up and knit 27 (29, 31, 33, 35) stiches evenly spaced along side edge of left front neck to beginning neck shaping marker, place marker, then pick up and knit 97 (97, 98, 99, 99) stitches evenly spaced along enter edge of left front 280 (286, 294, 302, 308) stitches total.
Row 1 [wrong side]: slip first stitch as if to purl, purl to 2nd stitch marker, purl 1, bind off next 4 stitches for button hole, purl next 8 stitches, bind off next 4 stitches, purl to within last stitch, slip last stitch as if to purl.
Row 2: [knit to bound off stitches, cast on 3 stitches to complete buttonhole] twice, continue to knit across and increase 1 stitch after and before last stitch markers 282 (288, 296, 304, 310) stitches total.
Row 3: slip first and last stitches as if to purl and purl across.
Row 4: knit across.
Row 5: repeat row 3 and increase 1 stitch after first and before last stitch markers 284 (290, 298, 306, 312) stitches.
Rows 6 &7: repeat rows 3 & 4. Bind off. Sew buttons to left front to correspond to buttonholes.
