Might and Magic InformationThe following pages offer tips, links, bug descriptions with workarounds, and sundry gameplay information on some recent games in the Might and Magic series of role-playing games and the Heroes of Might and Magic series of strategy games. Both series are the creation of New World Computing, now a division of The 3DO Company. For the first game of the recent trilogy, Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven, a “Quick Reference” spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel 95/5.0 format is available for download. There is one page each with hints and bug lists for Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor, Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer, and Might and Magic IX (whose original subtitle “Writ of Fate” was dropped for some reason). These pages do not contain spoilers, except for “Easter eggs,” but they have links to pages with spoilers. If you’re having trouble running one of the older DOS titles, Might and Magic I–V or Swords of Xeen, on a Windows system, you should check out Dave Caspermeyer’s collection of DOS .pif files for these games. This page is part of Dave’s Looting Lore site. Additionally, there are two pages for the popular strategy games set in the same game world. One page covers Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia, its expansion pack Armageddon’s Blade, and its enhanced re-release Shadow of Death. This page is organized as a collection of “Manual Addenda” and includes many details on gameplay mechanics as well as saved games to unlock all campaigns. The other page covers the recently released Heroes of Might and Magic IV in the same fashion. Both pages are also available as Adobe PDF files: This page was last updated on 25 October 2002.
