Management Team
Daniel C. Roy - President & Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining the Company, Dan served as the Vice President of Operations and Finance for Amaroq, Inc., a startup focusing on wireless automated meter-reading technology. From 1999-2001, Dan served as a manager at Accenture in their Strategic Services Consulting Group. During this time, Dan worked primarily on creating new strategic initiatives for startup and Fortune 500 companies in the High Techology and Communications Industries. Dan's areas of expertise include strategic analysis of industry and competitor marketplaces, identifying strategic alliance opportunities, and business and financial modeling. Dan also worked for Arthur Andersen for 3 years as a Senior Consultant in their High Technology practice conducting operational and financial evaluations. Dan holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University and an MBA in Strategy, Marketing and Finance from the University of Chicago and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Peter Faubert - Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer

Prior to joining the Company, Peter served as Vice President, Finance and Corporate Controller of systems integrator and software reseller Burntsand, Inc. Peter has a strong foundation in financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, venture financing and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Burntsand, Peter held positions as Corporate Controller of Primix Solutions Inc., acquired by Burntsand in 2001 and Finance Manager of, Inc., acquired by spend management software solutions provider Ariba, Inc. in 2000. Peter also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Manager in its mergers and acquisitions consulting practice where he advised on acquisition strategy formulation, financial modeling and due diligence on deals with a total value in excess of $3 billion and raised in excess of $1 billion in private placement, public debt and equity offerings. Peter holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Gregory Perry - Chief Technology Officer

Prior to joining the Company, Greg served as Founder and CTO of BroadIP Networks and Network Security Technologies, Inc. Greg is an experienced network, security and hardware engineer, is a pioneer in information security research and development, and has extensive knowledge of network layer design and implementation, wireless network architecture, embedded systems engineering, network security infrastructure, cryptography and cryptanalysis. Greg has completed large-scale projects for several major clients including Federal government agencies and multinational Fortune 500 firms.

Jason Riffel - Vice President Engineering

Jason currently serves as Vice President Engineering for AWA, and is the core hardware design engineer behind the AWA wireless video surveillance platform. Jason has 12 years of experience in embedded systems design and software and hardware development. Prior to AWA, Jason was Vice President Engineering for BroadIP Networks, Inc., and had complete technical oversight over design and implementation of the PacketCop bandwidth management appliance. Jason has consulted extensively in the Seattle area as a project manager and senior design engineer with an emphasis on volatile and high profile projects. His portfolio of clients include Apex, Intermec, Adobe Systems, Microsoft, and Pitney Bowes. Jason has also worked as a team leader in the development of Windows CE Technology for embedded systems with BSquare and Microsoft.

Alistair Bostrom - Director of Software Engineering

Al has been writing signal analysis and processing software since 1982. Prior to joining the AWA team, Al was a co-Founder of BroadIP Networks, where he served as Chief Mathmetician. Al has also served as a consultant for AMNET Corporation, performing hardware feasibilty analysis of compression algorithms. Specializing in data compression for the last seven years, Al has designed and implemented wavelet based image compression algorithms that meet or exceed what is generally considered state-of-the-art in that industry niche. He also brings years of experience in ultra high performance SIMD-DSP assembly programming for both resource constrained, embedded applications and PC-type platforms. Al also has worked for Halliburton, where he designed the electronics for a down-hole temperature survey instrument used in the exceedingly hostile environment of very deep (20,000'+) gas wells. Al holds a B.S. in Mathematics, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Hawaii. He has been an invited speaker to the American Mathematical Society, presenting original research delineating the topology and algebra of infinite stochastic matrices.
