The public perception is [that the Eagles] have a lot of money and they don't use it," he added. "They waste it. You've got to go back to our players with opportunities. We're attempting to do that." 7:00 PT: The St. Petersburg Times reports RB Emmitt Smith, who recently signed with the Arizona Cardinals, noted there were some increasing signs of acrimony between Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Rich McKay when the Bucs were courting Smith during his free agent time period. Smith said he received mixed responses from the two, with one wanting him greatly and the other not being in favor of it. Gruden wanted to sign him, but McKay didn’t want him to be a distraction – even at a minimum salary. There have been recent reports that Gruden also made disparaging comments regarding McKay.

He noted the team will have to play within the framework of Harrington’s abilities, too.
