The Official Website is now relaunched. Watch out for its growth.
Like the old site, it has a flash front page, it has image only and javascript only navigation. As the new diary is cgi based the details will not be locatable from search engines. I will maintain here a current NO script NO image calendar, and for a period carry the older pages as an archive service.
As previously, here for the benefit of search engines, readers using screen reading software, and those without (or preferring to avoid) Javascript, are pure text links to the NEW Official Pages. And as before- to get back to these text links, use your Back icon.

The Bradshaws began their life as a radio show on Manchester's Piccadilly Radio, then transferred onto the small screen. Described as a cross between Coronation Street, Andy Capp and The Simpsons.

After sitting in most places in the Plaza, a word of warning - after the Plaza was built, somebody modified the circle, losing the sight lines to the stage (no problem with cinema screen). The new Plaza has raised the stage and amended the circle seating, but there is still some restriction to viewing the stage from the front of the circle. In Circle Row C only, there appears to be no sight line to the stage at all (I could see nothing!). I recommend Row F or behind. Current building and safety regulations plus the listed status mean this problem won't be solved any time soon.

A visit in September 2000 showed newly upholstered seating in the stalls (moved from the circle) and seats in the circle refitted at lower density with seats from the Palace.
Visiting in November 2000 for a concert the old theatre/cinema was looking very good with a fitted out stage, very modern stage lighting and sound system. Excellent. Pity the cafe sells tea in polystyrene cups! There is a bar behind the circle. Ice creams in the interval.
The first film showing on December 1st 2000, 42nd Street, was a sell out success, Compton Organ, Orchestra, Live performer, excellent film - on a screen larger than most multiplexes can manage. Superb.
