Was this visit SUPPOSED to be torture?

emotion of the hour: confused...advice??
Top 5 reasons why I probably SHOULDN'T hook up with Travis.

5. When he talks about "a smoke" it's not a Marlboro.
4. Since I last saw him, he's gained the freshman 15 times like 4.
3. I can't hold a conversation with him anymore. I don't really know why.
2. He actually WANTS to go back to high school.
1. And the number one reason why I shouldn't get with him: I overheard him talking on his cell with someone he referred to as "hunny".

He might be staying the night again tonight. I need to get really drunk tonight so that being with him isn't that painful. What does everyone else think? Keep in mind, it's been over a year since ANYTHING...like kiss, sex, anything. What would you do?

emotion of the hour: busy and happy
My Rhetoric teacher is a BITCH. I went to her office hours today and all she said was that I'm doing it all wrong (even though I'm following the promt she gave us). She's so right and perfect, and just absolutly the smartest woman in the world. She lectured me for five minutes about a word I used in a sentence incorrectly. AHHHHHH! The longest five minutes of my life!
I met with my history professor today too. He's a lot nicer in person than when he's chewing out the class at eight in the morning. I still didn't get my questions answered but I let him know that I'm interested in history and he likes people who go out of their way to succeed in his class.
Travis is coming tonight. He's spending the night in my room. Thank God Madeline went home already. I have NO IDEA what's going to happen tonight. Don't worry everyone, you can bet I'll dish it all in my next entry.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to bob who helped me figure out how to make my journal pretty!!!

I think that's all I'll bore you with today.

Write it down on your calendars that history was made today.

emotion of the hour: in heaven
I just got the best news in the entire world. This made my week. Travis, one of my friends from back home is coming to San Diego tomorrow and he's gonna visit me on Wednesday. Finally! Someone from home who knows where I'm coming from. How blissfully wonderful!!!!
We met at a mutual friend's party, where I wasn't really my best self, but amazingly, we still find each other.
Madeline is out with her mother celebrating her birthday. I think it's about time for me to pop a Kid's Cuisine in the microwave, get my laundry started, and kick back with my new Tim McGraw cd.
Life is good, life is great, life is unbelievable, because just when you think it can't get any worse, it gets a hell of a lot better.

Ok, so now it's 48 hours. I can wait two more days. Hell, I've waited 12 years, what's two more days?

and on that note...

what will you remember about today?

emotion of the hour: anxious
Today is what History is made of. It's this tension of not knowing what will happen, who will die, who will be affected...this is what History books could never grasp. The uncertainty of it all. The anxiety. We are all watching History take place. Take notes people.

I left my easy-ass question up all weekend, but no one wanted to answer. I give up. If no one knows who shot Abraham Lincoln, all my efforts could never help. By the way, it was John Wilks Booth. No more questions ever again. Congratulations, you have all made my dream of becoming a history teacher a little more real.

"Bueller, Bueller, Bueller..."

On this date in 1984, my roommate was born. Joy oh joy oh freaking joy.

The reason why I'm proabably so pissy today is because my Rhetoric teacher put me in a bad mood. I swear, I need to chart her menstral cycle on my calendar so I can know in advance when she's PMSing.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

To My Mr. Perfect

emotion of the hour: enfatuated
I just found this song and thought it was perfect. So I'll share it with ya. Also, some random comments throughout the lyrics...enjoy! (they're in the [] brackets)

If You Were Mine
(Cyndi Thomson, Tommy Lee James, Liz Hengber)

If you were mine I would celebrate like everyday was Christmas.
If you were mine I'd love you like nobody's business
I would give you everything I had
I would treat you right and make you laugh
Baby I would smile forever
If you were mine

If you were mine baby every night would be a romance novel
If you were mine I'd quench your thirst like a tall glass of water
You would be my one desire
I would kiss you like a house on fire [not real sure what that means]
Baby I would burn like crazy
If you were mine

You're everything I can't resist
Just to hear your voice is bliss
It is, yeah it is

If you were mine I would shout it out
We'd show the world what love's about [I don't really like the word "love" but it's in the song...]
We'd never sleep in our big old bed
We'd just kiss and kiss and kiss instead
If you were mine I would be complete
Nothing would be missing baby
If you were mine
If only you were mine

emotion of the hour: smile from ear to ear
Ahhh, oatmeal for breakfast...oh wait, I mean for lunch. I guess that goes to show what sleeping in can do for you. You lose all sense of time.
I did go to the gym this morning, and I saw one of my friends from German class, but I didn't say hi to him because I was a sweaty smelly pig at the time. Not my most attractive moment, I assure you.
I'm so happy though. I can't remember a time when I was this happy. I mean, I'm actually keeping my breakfast down!!!! The little things make me happy.
Toby Keith's "boot in you ass" song is on the radio. I really don't like that song. But everyone around me is yelling "Turn it up!!!!", so I'll deal with it. Reba McIntire's "fancy" song sound a lot like her "lights went out in georgia" song. Just an observation of a bored small town girl.
The agenda for today is to go apartment hunting and go to the grocery store to buy vinegar (science project--don't ask).
Oh yeah, and I also need to clean up my room, it's getting pretty bad.
Until next time then,

On this date in 1767, Andrew Jackson, the 7th President of the United States, was born.

Today's question: Who shot Abraham Lincoln?
