Publisher's Description
iMesh is a peer-to-peer file-sharing program that lets you find, download, share, and publish audio and video files, computer games, images, photos, and just about any document in a growing community of millions. Files are located on the computers of other iMesh users who have agreed to share them. Files can be transferred directly from one desktop to another without the need for a server. Its technology allows you to download files from multiple users simultaneously. iMesh also supports an advanced resume feature that ensures the automatic completion of all your requested downloads. The latest version was completely redesigned with a friendly user interface, convenient full-screen preview, and an enhanced media manager.

Editor's note: This download includes additional applications bundled with the software's installer file. Third-party applications bundled with this download may record your surfing habits, deliver advertising, collect private information, or modify your system settings. Pay close attention to the end user license agreement and installation options. For more information, read's guide to adware. Review
Pretty is as pretty does. If you haven't heard that old saying before, a little time spent with iMesh makes its meaning crystal clear. Lovely to look at, fast when it feels like it, iMesh is the peer-to-peer equivalent of having a supermodel as a girlfriend: temperamental, finicky, and with too many hangers-on crowding the field in the form of adware.

iMesh couples a simple, attractive interface with a devastating combination of required third-party programs, some of which (GAIN, Cydoor, and eZula TopText iLookup) are extremely intrusive. It includes standard P2P functions, such as search, download, upload, a media player, and Web content, but unlike some other P2P software, there's no integrated chat. Unique features such as advanced search filtering and detailed download information are nice, but it's hard to appreciate the details when you're bombarded by pop-up advertisements. Every file-sharing application has a bit of a content niche, and iMesh seems to excel in video searches, though results will obviously vary based on the constantly shifting user base.
