The Children's Museum, Boston

A Free Family Event
In Celebration of the Summer Solstice!

On the evening of the solstice, the longest day of the year, Revels will celebrate on the waterfront beside The Children's Museum, Boston, with a Parade, a 90-minute performance, and the lighting of a midsummer beacon.

7:00 pm Gathering (place TBA)

7:15 pm A Grand Procession down Congress Street-- with oxen drawn carts, Scottish highland pipes, Caribbean steel drums, circus performers, morris dancers, a Chinese lion, larger-than-life puppets and the Padstow 'Obby 'Oss from England.

7:30 pm A 90-minute long Midsummer Revels performance on the outdoor terrace of The Children's Museum with a cast of more than 80 performers--the Revels chorus of adults and children, The Branches Pan Groove Steel Orchestra, The Pinewoods Morris Men, Revels favorites David Coffin and Janice Allen, and some of the best dancers and instrumentalists in New England.

Ending at sundown, with the lighting of a Midsummer beacon.
