GAUGE: First 2 rnds = 2 in. (5 cm) in diameter.

STITCHES USED: Chain st (ch). Slip st (sl st). Single crochet (sc). Treble crochet (tr). Popcorn (pop): * 5 tr in same st, drop loop from hook, insert hook into first of last 5 tr made, draw dropped loop through st, ch 1 tightly to secure pop *. Shell: * (2 tr, ch 3, 2 tr) in same space *. Puff st: * 4 tr (half closed and joined tog) in same space *.
