2002:

FosterGrant introduces the Jeff Gordon Driving Series.

The product offering includes 42 styles with a suggested retail price ranging from $15 to $20. The line includes two product classifications, the Pro series and the Driving series. Both lines offer 100% UVA and UVB protection, spring hinges for added comfort and rubber coated plastic frames for a secure grip.

The Driving Series ($15 S.R.P.) features include:

· gradient lenses with flash mirror coatings to provide improved instrument visibility

·metal frames feature leather tips for added comfort

The Pro Series ($20 S.R.P.) consists of :

· infra red coated polycarbonate lenses that provide eye fatigue protection and shatter resistance

· high grade rubber inserts in the nose and ear area to improve general wearing comfort

2001:

FosterGrant develops Concept 1 as it's cutting edge, fashion line of sunglasses.

FosterGrant sunglasses to play a major role in the film "Spy Kids" premiering March 31, 2001 starring Antonio Banderas.

FosterGrant to launch "Win Cindy Crawford's Car" contest in April, 2001.

2000:

FosterGrant signs actor Robert Urich as global spokesperson for non-prescription reading glasses.

FosterGrant announces the Win a Trip to Paradise Island contest.

FosterGrant develops the FosterGrant Expedition line. Feature exclusive styling, innovative polycarbonate lens and comfort fit features.

FosterGrant announces the National Model Search contest winners. They will appear in a "Who's That Behind Those FosterGrants" ad.

1999:

FosterGrant celebrates its 70th anniversary in November with a celebrity packed party in Hollywood's trendy SkyBar.

FosterGrant relaunches the "Who's That Behind Those FosterGrants?" ad campaign - featuring Cindy Crawford.

FosterGrant's "Who's That Behind Those FosterGrants?" ad campaign is rated one of the Top 100 of the Century by Advertising Age magazine.

FosterGrant is rated as the 4th best accessories brand by Women's Wear Daily.

FosterGrant is a sponsor of the Ironman World Championships in October in Hawaii.

1998:

FosterGrant partners with the Warner Brothers network, launching the "Who's That Behind Those FosterGrants Million Dollar Giveaway".

FosterGrant moves its world headquarters from Dallas, Texas to Smithfield, Rhode Island.

January 8, 1998: FosterGrant gives away Elvis' original FosterGrants at Graceland to the lucky winner of the FosterGrant/Elvis sweepstakes.

1997:

To commemorate the anniversary of Elvis Presley's death, FosterGrant announces a national consumer sweepstakes to give away Elvis' personal pair of FosterGrant sunglasses.. The company also offers limited edition FosterGrant Elvis Presley sunglasses that are replicas of the ones actually worn by the King of Rock and Roll.

1997:

FosterGrant named by Women's Wear Daily Magazine as one of the most recognized brands in America.

1996:

FosterGrant is purchased by Accessories Associates, Inc. a market leader in popular priced jewelry.

1989:

FosterGrant moves its world headquarters to Dallas, Texas, USA

1974:

Elvis Presley, The King of Rock and Roll, begins wearing FosterGrants.

1960's:

"Who's That Behind Those FosterGrants?" ad campaign begins featuring celebrities such as Peter Sellers, Louis Jourdan, Carroll Baker, Claudia Cardinale, Elke Sommer, Anita Ekberg, Vittorrio Gassman, Anthony Quinn, Mia Farrow, Robert Goulet, Julie Christie, Woody Allen, Raquel Welch, Terence Stamp, Vanessa Redgrave, and Herschel Walker.

1929:

Sam Foster sells the first pair of FosterGrants at the Woolworth on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

1919:
